The concept of a legal address is not clearly defined in Ukrainian legislation and is based on the interpretation of the place of location, that is, the address of a person or body according to the founding documents.
Changing the legal address in Kyiv involves preparing the necessary documentation and making amendments with the district administration of your registration, the Tax and Fiscal Service, the statistics department and the social insurance funds. Replacing a company’s legal address involves different procedures for making amendments; it all depends on the organizational form and not on the civil servants in Kyiv, since the law prohibits requiring any additional documents to change the location.
Changing the legal address of an organization (public association) is carried out in accordance with the charter and applicable legislation. To change its location, a public organization interacts with the Ministry of Justice — submits an application in any form, registration card No.4 and the certificate of registration (or its duplicate).
Documents to change the legal address of a firm (for example, LLC (TOV), JSC (ZAO) or private entrepreneur), if it is a for-profit entity, are submitted to the registration service office of the administration at the location of the registration file.
Changing the legal address of an LLC (limited liability company) requires amending the charter.
The procedure for making the change involves:
- Meeting of the highest governing body (decision on changing the location).
- Changing the LLC’s legal address with the state registrar.
From the moment the registrar accepts the documents and enters the corresponding changes into the Unified State Register, the change of the LLC’s legal address is considered completed.
