How to obtain a license?

License issuance

The license to conduct activities provided for in the Law of Ukraine “On licensing certain types of economic activity” is granted only if the established licensing conditions are met. Often these requirements relate to the material-technical and regulatory-legal base, as well as personnel. It should be taken into account that compliance with these licensing requirements must be confirmed by documents, which significantly affects the volume of the required document package.

Licenses are issued on the basis of applications of the established form. The documents that must be attached to the application are legislatively approved separately for each type of activity.

The licensing procedure often proceeds as follows:

• submission of the application and the required package of documents;
• the state institution’s decision to grant the permit or a motivated refusal to issue it (within 10 working days from the date of submission of all necessary documents, unless a different term is provided by special legislation);
• payment of the permit fee (within 30 calendar days from the moment the licensing authority makes a positive decision regarding the issuance of the license);
• issuance of the permit document within 3 working days from the date of submission of the payment receipt.

The prices of individual permits to conduct activities are set by the CMU.
