Construction license
A construction license is a permit that confirms the right to legally carry out construction works related to architectural objects that are classified in categories IV and V according to the complexity of architectural and construction solutions and (or) engineering equipment.

Obtaining and renewing a construction license is carried out at the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate (SACI) and its territorial bodies.

Required set of documents for obtaining a construction license:
- an application in the prescribed form;
- a list of construction works the applicant intends to perform;
- a certificate from the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations (EGRPO);
- information about the professionalism and qualifications of the staff, technical facilities, production technologies, legal and regulatory support, quality control system, and completed construction and installation projects.
If your interests are represented by an attorney, a power of attorney is also required.
After review, SACI forwards all documents to the licensing commission, which in turn prepares a conclusion on whether the documents comply with the licensing conditions or not.
For entities applying for a license for the first time, the term of validity is set at 3 years. After its expiration, you will be able to obtain a construction license valid for 5 years. The fee for a construction license is set at the level of one minimum wage established on the date of the licensing authority’s decision.

Currently, the legislation defines the following types of construction activities subject to licensing:
- exploratory activities for construction;
- development of urban planning documents;
- design of facilities;
- construction and installation works;
- installation of engineering networks;
- construction of transport interchanges;
- engineering works in the field of construction.
