How to create and register a non-profit organization?
A non-profit organization (NPO) is a legal entity whose purpose is not to obtain and distribute profit among participants. The purpose of an NPO, for example, may be charity, patronage, representation and protection of the interests of certain population groups, etc. Creating a non-profit organization is a rather complex task. This is due to the fact that there is no single regulatory legal act that would regulate this issue, since NPOs are a very broad category of legal entities that includes a wide variety of forms of activity. For example, non-profit organizations include charitable foundations, public associations, religious organizations, political parties, bodies of state power and local self-government, and so on. Documents for registering a non-profit organization

Procedure for registering a non-profit organization
In fact, it can be stated that NPO registration takes place in two stages:
- Registration of a legal entity of a certain type. This procedure is carried out by state registrars at the location of the legal entity. For this you need to decide on the organizational form, types of activity of the firm, taxation, the name and place of registration, the structure of governing bodies and much more. Accordingly, the package of necessary documents and procedures is quite extensive. That is, at this stage a legal entity is actually created and information about it is entered into the Unified State Register (USR). - State registration of a non-profit organization in the territorial body of the State Tax Service of a lower level. Assignment of non-profit status does not occur automatically or simultaneously with the creation of the legal entity. To carry out this stage it is necessary to submit to the relevant Tax Service body at the place of registration of the legal entity an application (form 1-RN) and copies of the founding documents. If, based on the results of consideration of the submitted documents, a positive decision is made, the NPO is entered into the respective Register.
If there are changes in the data contained in the Register of Non-Profit Institutions and Organizations, the NPO must notify the tax authority within 10 days and update the Register.
