New inspections of state registrars

Ministry of Justice in February 2014, by its decree, introduced a new edition of the Regulation on the conduct of state supervision in the field of registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Now the functions of state supervision have been assigned to Ukrgosreestr, and they are carried out by conducting inspections of the following types:

• Inspections of the process of reviewing documents by the state registrar when registering a legal entity with charter capital exceeding 10 million
• Inspections of court decisions that recognized the actions of the state registrar as improper or illegal, as well as court decisions where the decisions of the general meeting of a legal entity to make changes to the Unified State Register (USR) were declared invalid in whole or in part.

State supervision of compliance with registration legislation may also be carried out by the registration services at the Main Department of Justice in the region.
