Obtaining a cadastral number for land

This year there have been many changes in land legislation that affect the procedure for registering ownership rights to land plots. Now this procedure will take more time, as it has become somewhat more complicated.

It is impossible to carry out the registration of ownership rights to a land plot without undergoing mandatory registration in the cadastral system. The final stage of such a procedure will be the registration of ownership rights with the State Registration Service.

It should be noted that registration of a land plot in the State Land Cadastre is also required during land privatization (acquisition of ownership rights to a land plot from lands that are in state or communal ownership).

Services for the registration of all land plots are provided by the territorial offices of the State Agency of Land Resources. The registration of a plot is carried out directly by a cadastral registrar, and only after such registration can a specific land plot be identified in the State Cadastre.

If your ownership right to a land plot is recorded in an old-style state act, or you need to carry out a merger or division of already formed plots, then you also need to enter information about the land plot into the aforementioned cadastral system.

In either case you cannot avoid the procedure of preparing technical documentation, assigning a cadastral number to the plot, as well as registration in the cadastral system.

To do this, you first need to order technical documentation that should include data on the established boundaries of the land plot. In order to prepare land management technical documentation, it is necessary to carry out a geodetic survey of the land plot. After this activity, the documentation developer must assign a specific cadastral number to the plot. Based on all the data of the technical documentation, the cadastral registrar enters information about the land plot into the system.

At the end of this whole procedure, the registrar must issue an extract from the State Land Cadastre about your land plot.
