Registration of land rights
First, let’s distinguish two often-confused concepts: «state registration of a land plot» and «state registration of rights to a land plot».

Right to lease a land plot
A lease agreement implies the transfer of land for a fee from the owner, that is, the lessor, to the lessee for temporary possession and use. The right to dispose of the land plot remains with the owner.

Extract from the Cadastre
With the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On the State Land Cadastre”, to confirm the right of ownership of land the owner must present an Extract from the State Land Cadastre.

The primary task of the land and land plot valuation service is to determine the real value of a specific land plot, taking into account its physical characteristics and constraints, as well as its location.

According to the Land Code, a land plot may be used only in accordance with its designated purpose. Violation of this condition may lead to deprivation of rights to the land plot.
