What documents are needed to process a land allocation
To establish ownership of a land plot, it is necessary to first prepare a land allocation project. Such a project is needed when the plot boundaries have not been previously established, or when the land’s designated use will change. For example, if you have selected a plot and intend to privatize it, you need to contact the local government authority to obtain permission to develop a land management project for the allocation of the land plot into ownership specifying the purpose of privatization (house maintenance, farming).
In essence, a land allocation project is a set of documents describing the technical and economic characteristics of the land plot.
The land allocation project is prepared by a land management organization that holds a license to perform this type of work.
Steps for preparing the project:
- Conducting a geodetic survey.
- Assigning a cadastral number.
- Consideration of the land allocation project by the commission on land management documentation at the state administration.
- If the commission’s conclusion is positive, the project is forwarded to the local government authority or to a state authority to obtain a decision on the approval of the land management project for the allocation of the land plot and its transfer into ownership.
- The land allocation project is registered in the State Land Cadastre, and an Extract is issued.
- The extract from the land cadastre and the decision approving the land management project for the allocation of the land plot and its transfer into ownership are submitted to the State Registration Service, where a Certificate of State Registration of Rights to Real Property (land plot) is issued.
