Fire Safety License
According to Ukrainian legislation, economic entities that provide services and carry out fire-related works require a fire safety license issued by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

How to obtain a fire safety license?
License for installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems
The list of licensing conditions depends on the types of works and services the applicant plans to carry out.

The standard list of requirements often includes:
- appropriate education and qualifications of the manager and performers, as well as their completion of specialized training;
- availability of necessary regulatory and technical documentation;
- availability of administrative premises and office equipment;
- compliance with the requirements imposed on project documentation.
In addition to the above, the design of fire protection equipment requires the mandatory availability of office equipment (printer, scanner, and photocopier).
Permission for the installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems is granted provided the manager has relevant work experience of at least 3 years. Also, installation may be carried out by a crew of at least four (for aerosol fire suppression systems – two) specialists. The presence of a warehouse and special equipment is mandatory.
A license for the installation of fire alarm systems and other evacuation systems is granted provided the manager has 3 years of work experience. Additionally, fire-security alarm systems are installed by at least two specialists.
The price of the permit is set at the level of one minimum wage and currently amounts to 1218 UAH.
The cost of the administrative service for issuing a copy of the license (required for each branch or separate subdivision) is 17 UAH.
Re-registration of the license (required in the event of a change of company name or full name, location or place of residence, or changes to data related to business activities) is carried out by submitting the appropriate application within 10 working days from the occurrence of the specified circumstances. The cost of this administrative service is 85 UAH.
License for fire protection activities
Fire-related works and services for which a license for fire protection activities is required include:
- design of fire alarm systems, other alert and evacuation systems, as well as fire suppression systems, smoke control systems, and lightning protection equipment;
- installation and technical maintenance of fire protection devices and equipment;
- installation of gates, doors, windows, hatches, curtains (screens), valves with a standardized fire resistance rating;
- monitoring of fire automation systems;
- fire-retardant impregnation, treatment, and filling;
- installation, repair, maintenance and inspection of fireplaces, heating stoves, and chimneys that operate on solid or liquid fuels;
- assessment of objects’ compliance with fire safety standards;
- testing of structures, equipment, products, as well as fire-fighting equipment and specialized fire protection products for compliance with established standards and requirements;
- determination of the level of fire hazard of substances and materials.
It should be remembered that the permit can be granted for the entire range of services and works, as well as for certain ones (which should be specified in the application). The cost of the license does not depend on the selected types of activities.

- an application in the prescribed form;
- information about the availability of material and technical base and staff, as well as certified copies of documents confirming them.
