Updated procedure for indexing population income

In January 2014, the Cabinet of Ministers amended the Procedure for indexing monetary incomes of the population by its resolution. Under the new legislation, payments calculated on the basis of the average salary are no longer subject to indexation.

It is also provided that if a person works part-time, the indexing amount must be determined based on full working hours, but it will be paid proportionally to the time actually worked by the person.

In addition, it is established that if during the month an employee’s monetary income increases for reasons such as expansion of the service area, combining professions, increased workload, substitution for a temporarily absent employee, secondary employment, or an increase in bonus, then such a month is not a base month for indexing, provided that the salary/rate has not been increased.

Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 36 came into force on 13.02.2014.
