Messenger No longer necessary to submit a certificate of absence of currency abroad
The Ministry of Revenues and Duties reminded that, in cases provided for by law, certain goods may be restricted in movement across the customs territory of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Revenues and Duties reminded that, in cases provided for by law, certain goods may be restricted in movement across the customs territory of Ukraine. For such goods, the conditions for crossing and customs clearance apply, which are carried out by the revenue and duties authorities on the basis of documents obtained through information technologies and which can confirm compliance with the restrictions provided by the law of Ukraine. Such documents must be issued by bodies authorized to perform control functions or by other legal entities that have the authority to issue such documents. The provision of such documents is carried out only when such actions are necessary in accordance with Ukrainian laws.
These requirements are approved by CMU Resolution No. 436 of 21.05.2012, which defines the list of goods to which restrictions on crossing the customs border of Ukraine apply.
According to the letter of the Ministry of Revenues No. 16098/6/99-99-22-03-01-15 dated 26.11.2013, it is not required to provide a certificate of absence of currency valuables outside Ukraine (as well as to indicate such information in the declaration) to customs authorities for goods clearance.
