  • Registration of land rights

First, let’s distinguish two often-confused concepts: «state registration of a land plot» and «state registration of rights to a land plot».

  • Right to lease a land plot

A lease agreement implies the transfer of land for a fee from the owner, that is, the lessor, to the lessee for temporary possession and use. The right to dispose of the land plot remains with the owner.

  • Land (plot) privatization

Anyone can privatize a land plot in Ukraine. However, this procedure is quite long and labor-intensive. It is practically impossible to handle it on your own, so you should contact lawyers in advance.

  • Certificate of Ownership

Since January 1, 2013, a number of innovations in the field of land relations have been in effect in Ukraine. One of them is a title-establishing document – the Certificate of Ownership for a land plot.

  • Land Allocation Project

To establish ownership of a land plot, it is necessary to first prepare a land allocation project. Such a project is needed when the plot boundaries have not previously been established, or when the land’s designated use will change.

  • Certificate of Absence of Structures

When transferring a land plot free of buildings, the notary is required to request a certificate confirming the absence of structures on the land plot.

  • Registration in the Cadastre

This year there have been many changes in land legislation that affect the procedure for registering ownership rights to land plots. Now this procedure will take more time, as it has become somewhat more complicated.

  • Extract from the Cadastre

With the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On the State Land Cadastre”, to confirm the right of ownership of land the owner must present an Extract from the State Land Cadastre.

  • Expert valuation of a land plot

The primary task of the land and land plot valuation service is to determine the real value of a specific land plot, taking into account its physical characteristics and constraints, as well as its location.

  • Change of land use designation

According to the Land Code, a land plot may be used only in accordance with its designated purpose. Violation of this condition may lead to deprivation of rights to the land plot.

  • Division and consolidation of land plots

Sometimes there are situations when you need to sell only part of your land plot or gift equal parts of a plot to several relatives. In such cases, it is necessary to divide the land plot.

  • Normative Monetary Valuation
