The amount of tax paid by single-tax payers is three times higher than last year

According to the press service of the Ministry of Revenues, in the first two months of 2013 the treasury of Ukraine was replenished by almost 1 billion (995.1 million) due to enterprises that are on the simplified taxation system. The increase compared to the same period amounted to 287%, which considerably exceeds the comparable figure of 346.2 million from last year.

The amount of tax payable was self-calculated by entrepreneurs based on the size of their tax liabilities. The accuracy and correctness of the paid tax amounts can be determined only in April after taxpayers file their tax returns. Nevertheless, the tax authorities (GNI) are confident that the situation will not change significantly, since in most cases small and medium enterprises are not interested in evading taxes and always comply with legal norms.
