To determine the cost of registration, it is first necessary to consider the following factors:

2. Color
- black and white (preferred, since the owner of a black-and-white trademark has the right to use any color combination, whereas a colored one only the specified combination of colors)
- colored (not recommended, as it is more expensive and less protected)
3. Type of activity:
- different groups of goods and services have their own classes under the Nice Classification (international classification of goods and services)
- you need to decide on the number of classes (types of goods/services) in which you will use the TM.

According to Ukrainian legislation, registration of a domain name in the .UA zone is possible only on the basis of a certificate of registration of a trademark for goods and services.
To register a trademark, you need to fill out:

Trademark registration process:
- Filling out the application according to the provided template.
- Submission takes place at 1 Glazunova St. in Kyiv (to the left after the main entrance) at any of the three windows and includes the following documents:
- Application for registration of a mark for goods and services with attachments;
- A copy of the application with attachments (or a second original);
- A folder (not required, but appreciated).
- After submission, the person accepting the documents should give you a receipt acknowledging receipt of the application with the full name and address, as well as a copy of the submitted application stamped as accepted. In most cases this process takes no more than 2 minutes.
- There is no need for any additional documents.
- Payment for trademark registration must be made within 2 months from the date of application submission. Payment at the time of submission is not required and is made after receiving a notification from Ukrpatent.
- Within 2-4 weeks after submitting the application, a letter from Ukrpatent should arrive at the correspondence address specified in the application, requesting payment of the indicated amount to the specified details. One applicant pays 1000 UAH for one class, each subsequent class also costs 1000 UAH, and their number is not limited.
- After payment, the original receipt indicating the application number must be sent to Ukrpatent.
- In case of change of correspondence address, you must inform Ukrpatent by providing a reference to your application and indicating the new address. A fee of 100 UAH is charged for making such changes to the application.
- The examination of the application under the standard procedure takes one to one and a half years.
- After receiving the notice of the decision to register the trademark, you must additionally pay a fee of 150 UAH for the publication of information about the mark for goods and services, calculated at 150 UAH per class, and 85 UAH state duty for the issuance of the certificate.
All documents, notices, receipts should preferably be sent by registered mail or delivered in person via Ukrpatent’s reception at: 1 Glazunova St.
